Today we are proud to highlight the recent Masonry ROCKS Regional Showcase hosted by the Texas Masonry Council and San Antonio Mason Contractors Association. Check out the video highlighting the regional event. Over 150 students from multiple high schools attended the event, where we introduced them to masonry as a great career alternative for those not on a college career path. Thanks to all the volunteers who made this event possible!
As we close out the regional events for the year, the TMC and Workforce Development Committee, led by Liz Graves of Spec Rents, will focus on connecting high school students who want summer jobs or their first job after graduation with TMC members who have positions available. We're excited to work on the goal of placing 50 students this summer in positions with members, starting with regional Masonry Bootcamps.
